Existing projects
This page lists some public, open-source projects that use osu!framework.
osu!
osu! (also known as osu!lazer) is the flagship osu!framework project. It is the main driving force behind the framework and is expected to be developed for many years to come. If you want to see osu!framework in action, this is the place.
osu! has 4 game modes of gameplay known as rulesets and supports dynamically loading additional community-made game modes. Each game mode mimics a popular rhythm game such "Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan!", "Taiko No Tatsujin" and "Stepmania" and has a series of mods that can alter gameplay, making the gameplay easier, harder or just plain different. Players can play on their own and submit their best scores to online leaderboards, or play against each other in multiplayer lobbies. All charts (known as beatmaps) are community-made through the in-game editor and peer-reviewed to strict standards before achieving "ranked" status.
osu! rulesets
osu! supports custom game modes, which also use osu!framework to provide UI and gameplay elements. They can be handy resources to see how certain game modes are drawn.
A more complete list of community rulesets can be found here, but here are some highlights:
- sentakki, which aims to recreate Sega's Maimai arcade game
- Karaoke, which uses microphone input to play karaoke
- bosu, which mimics "I wanna be the Boshy"-style platformers
Vignette
Vignette is a VTuber toolkit made with osu!framework. It uses face tracking software to sync up your head movement with a virtual character.
